Conference & Exhibits Management, Inc. (CEM) is a woman-owned, small business continuously operating since 1993.  CEM provides a full range of meeting, conference, exhibit and event planning services for gatherings ranging in size from 15 to 2,000 attendees.  CEM has registered with CCR and ORCA and has been on the GSA schedule since 2006.

CEM’s experienced and seasoned conference staff provides all levels of support to ensure the smooth execution of Conference events.  CEM has enjoyed 20 years of meeting and exceeding Client expectations for the efficiency and thoroughness of all conference planning and support efforts.

Approach:
CEM’s approach to conference planning and implementation begins with planning and scheduling.  The foundation to developing a CEM conference management plan is a Level of Effort (LOE) form, which CEM developed and introduced to the Department of Energy (DOE) meetings and conferences in 2005.  This LOE is prepared by senior planners and reviewed by the Project Manager.  This is also the primary means of estimating conference funding requirements.  The LOE is provided to the Client to confirm an accurate reflection of required tasks and performance, and can be expanded and/or condensed to match actual conference requirements.  Combined with a Project timeline, LOEs become the framework for a CEM conference management plan
